Eddumailaram or Yeddumailaram is a census town in Sangareddi mandal of Medak district in the state of Telangana, India.
Demographics
As of the 2001 India census,[1] Yeddumailaram had a population of 13,584. Males constitute 52% of the population and females, 48%. Yeddumailaram has an average literacy rate of 77%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 82%, and female literacy is 71%. In Yeddumailaram, 13% of the population is under 6 years of age.
Landmarks
Yeddumailaram village is surrounded by many major industries established by Indian Government like Ordnance Factory Medak, which is the manufacturing plant for Sarath or BMP-II for Indian Army. In addition to it Indian Institute of Technology, Hyderabad is having its temporary campus in the Yeddumailaram, but later it is planning to shift its campus a permanent location near Sangareddi.
