Edward Cornelius Hearn is a British boxing promoter. He is also a director of the Professional Darts Corporation.[1]
Boxing Promoter
Hearn is currently 'Group Managing Director' of Matchroom Sport which is a company his dad, Barry Hearn, founded. He organizes boxing matches for all boxers under contract with Matchroom Sport, who in turn have a contract with Sky Sports to televise these events. Sky Sports give Matchroom a set number of dates for Eddie to organizes matches for. Eddie's stable under Matchroom Sports has several world champions such as; Carl Froch and Kell Brook. It also has world title challengers and number one contenders such as; Paul Smith, Antony Crolla, James DeGale. He also promotes for young boxers with plenty of talent and future world champions; Anthony Joshua, Luke Campbell, Callum Smith, Khalid Yafai along with plenty others.
Personal life
Eddie is the son of Susan and Barry Hearn, who is chairman of Matchroom Sport. [2]
