Edward Avil (born on 28 June) is an Indian musician,[1] songwriter, composer, bass guitarist, scriptwriter, restaurateur he has a sound recording studio in the heart of Mumbai.[2] He debuted on the professional music scene along with his brother Adam Avil as a member of 'Greek' a popular rock music band in the early '90s.

Music

Pioneer in the Indian Rock Music[3] scene that had their own original content, ‘Greek’ soon changed their name to Pralay. Their first album titled "Urban Reality"[4] released worldwide through Sonic Wave Distributors based out of Chicago. This album<ref name = "Pralay in the news>"Pralay released '14' on Raga To Rock Records". http://www.home.nestor.minsk.by/.</ref> also earned them their first-ever shortlisted nomination to the Grammy’s in 2003.

In the year 2007 he started his very own recording studio in Mahim, Mumbai, called – 'SOUNDS GOOD STUDIOS'[5]

In the time frame of 2012–13, both brothers contributed their talent in music into feature films, like Sixteen_(2013_Indian_film)[6] starring Izabelle Leite, Rohan Mehra, Wamiqa Gabbi, along with Mehak Manwani & Ishk Actually[7] starring Rajeev Khandelwal, Ann Mitchai

He has recently composed/arranged & produced a music album for Thai Singer/Actress Ann Mitchai's album called "LIVE MY LIFE MY WAY"[8] released in India through Universal Music

Restaurateur

He has a restaurant in Goa in the heart of Candolim named, "THE BLUE MARIPOSA"[9]
