Eastern View High School (EVHS) is a public high school located in Culpeper County, Virginia.

It shares its district with Culpeper County High School (CCHS).[3][4]

The school was built in 2008, and now holds around 1,200 students.[2][4][5]

History

The construction for Eastern View High School began in 2006 and continued for two years. The school opened in the fall of 2008.

There is an annual rivalry game against the other high school in the county, Culpeper County High School. This is normally a pre-season game and the profits are used for a charity, which varies every year. Eastern View fields very competitive sports teams yearly in the Battlefield District. The football team has had many productive seasons over the last few years, making it as far as the regional tournament. The tennis team has had just about as much success as the other two. They have made it successfully to the state tournament, but never won the tournament. The baseball team has carried a lot of the schools athletic success, they have won district tournaments every year except one since the school has opened.

Academic opportunities

Certain students at the high school are also eligible to apply to Mountain Vista Governor's School to take advanced math, science, humanities, and research courses.
