East West Corridor
The East West Corridor is a proposed Hong Kong MTR railway link that is part of the Sha Tin to Central Link project. As with the other parts of the Shatin-Central Link, it has been approved by the Executive Council of Hong Kong. It will link up the West Rail Line and Ma On Shan Line through the Shatin-Central Link (Hung Hom to Tai Wai section). Before the rail merger, services on the operational sections of the line were provided by the KCRC. Completion of the line is scheduled in 2018.[1]

- Notes
* The section from Tai Wai to Hung Hom will open in 2018. The section from Wu Kai Sha to Tai Wai is still part of the Ma On Shan Line, and the section Hung Hom to Tuen Mun is still part of West Rail Line. The East-West Corridor only refers to the rail link between Tai Wai and Hung Hom which passes through East Kowloon (as the other, more direct rail link between Tai Wai and Hung Hom is the current East Rail Line)
^ Will open in 2018
# Trains stop at Racecourse on race days only. Trains stopping at Racecourse do not stop at Fo Tan.
1 Tsuen Wan West Station of the West Rail Line and Tsuen Wan Station of the Tsuen Wan Line are not joined. However, GMB route 95K is provided for transport between the two stations (free transfer if there is a Tsuen Wan Line/West Rail Line journey record; normal MTR transfer rules apply, such as the rules for transferring between East Tsim Sha Tsui Station of the West Rail Line and Tsim Sha Tsui Station of the Tsuen Wan Line). Journey time to Tsuen Wan West Station is 15–20 minutes from Tsuen Wan Station on foot.
2 It is intended to expand Kam Sheung Road Station in the future to act as an interchange station between the West Rail Line and the Northern Link. For the time being, Kam Sheung Road is a plain through-station without any interchange facilities.
