East Gaston High School (also referred to as East Gaston or EGHS) is a public high school that is part of the Gaston County Schools district and is located in Mount Holly, North Carolina. The school was established in 1972 when high schools in the neighboring communities of Mount Holly and Stanley were consolidated. East Gaston contains the largest student body in the district with over 1,600 students. It is home of the 2010 District Principal (Marty Starnes), School Social Worker (Angela Ferguson), and School Counselor (Cindy Cloninger) of the Year.

Dr. Cristi Bostic serves as principal of East Gaston, and she has held that position since the retirement of Marty Starnes following the 2010-2011 school year. Assistant principals include:
