The East Anglia franchise will be a railway franchise for the provision of passenger services from London Liverpool Street to destinations in Essex, Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Suffolk and Norfolk on the Great Eastern and West Anglia main lines. It will replace the Greater Anglia franchise during October 2016. The new franchise will not include the suburban services which will be transferred to London Overground and Crossrail in May 2015. A shortlist of bidders is due to be published in June 2015 with the contract being award precisely one year later.[1]
