Earl of Mornington was a merchant vessel of 500 tons burthen (bm) built in India of teak and launched in 1766. In 1803 she made one voyage for the British East India Company (EIC). She does not appear in Lloyd's Register until 1804 and disappears from Lloyd's Register in 1810.

She was surveyed in 1802,[1] possibly in Britain. Her captain, Benjamin Ferguson, made one voyage under charter to the EIC, sailing from Madras on 24 January 1803, reaching St Helena on 14 April, and arriving at the Downs on 28 June.[Note 1]

Ferguson received a letter of marque on 15 October 1803.[2]
