ETV Network is one of the largest networks of satellite television channels in India, running seventeen regional language news and entertainment channels. It is based in Hyderabad, India.

History

The Hyderabad daily newspaper Eenadu (Telugu for 'today') started its own channel named Eenadu TV on 27 August 1995[1] as satellite broadcasting took off in India. The network later added regional channels in other Indian languages and built a large local news network. ETV is owned by Network 18, who bought it from Ramoji Group in 2013.

In March 2015 Viacom 18 decided to rebrand five ETV regional general entertainment channels (owned by Prism TV). They are ETV Marathi, ETV Gujarati, ETV Kannada, ETV Bangla and ETV Odia will be rebranded into Colors Marathi, Colors Gujarati, Colors Kannada, Colors Bangla and Colors Odia.[2]

ETV Network, bouquet of channels are source of rich infotainment to audiences in the language of their choice. ETV Network channels have been bifurcated and being handled by three separate entities. Content and all other aspects relating to operations are handled by respective companies.
