Dwayne Jenner (born 17 November 1990 in Benoni) is a South African rugby union player, currently playing with the Eastern Province Kings.[1] His regular position is centre.

Career

Natal Sharks

Jenner joined the Natal Sharks in 2009, playing for Sharks U19 side that year and for the Sharks U21 side in 2010. He made his first class debut for a Sharks Invitational side in a compulsory friendly prior to the 2010 Currie Cup Premier Division, coming on as a first-half substitute against the Falcons and scoring a try within ten minutes of coming on.[2] He was named in their squad for the 2011 Vodacom Cup, but failed to make an appearance.

Border Bulldogs

He joined the East London-based Border Bulldogs during 2011. His senior debut for the Bulldogs came during the 2011 Currie Cup First Division, against the Boland Cavaliers in Wellington.[3] He made five appearances for them before dropping down to the Under-21 side. He made three appearances for the Border U21 side during the 2011 Under-21 Provincial Championship competition, scoring a try in their Semi-final match against Griquas U21.[4] He helped them win the Division B final against the Eastern Province U21[5] and gain promotion to Division A by beating the Falcons U21.[6]

His made his Vodacom Cup debut during the 2012 Vodacom Cup, with his start against Argentinian side Pampas XV[7] being one of five appearances in the competition. He made a further sixteen appearances for the Bulldogs in the Currie Cup First Division competitions in 2012 and 2013, as well as representing the Southern Kings in a warm-up match against the Sharks in 2012.[8]

Eastern Province Kings

He joined the Eastern Province Kings prior to the 2014 season.[9] In June 2014, he was selected on the bench for the Eastern Province Kings side to face Wales during a tour match during a 2014 incoming tour. He made his debut for the EP Kings when he came on as a late substitute in a 12–34 defeat.[10]
