Dwaine Caraway is the former Mayor of Dallas after previous mayor Tom Leppert resigned to campaign for a US Senate seat.[6][7][8] [9][10] [11] [12] Caraway's first meeting with the Dallas city council was on March 2. He served as interim mayor until June 26, 2011[13] He was succeeded by Mike Rawlings.[14][15]
Caraway graduated from Roosevelt High School and attended Texas Southern University.[16]
Caraway is currently a Dallas Council Member representing District 4.
