Arturo "Dusty" Harrison Hernández (born May 21, 1994) is an American professional boxer in the Welterweight division.[1][2]

Dusty is the current WBC Youth World Welterweight Champion.[3]

Amateur career

Hernández turned professional at age 16 in 2011 after over 200 amateur bouts, leading his handlers to bill him as the youngest professional fighter in America.[4] He is of Puerto Rican descent.[5]

Professional career

On June 11, 2011 Dusty won his pro debut against the veteran Alphonso Alexander, at the DeSoto Civic Center in Southaven, Mississippi.[6] After a second win in Mississippi over Anthony Bowman,[7] Hernández returned to his hometown to register his third professional win by first-round knockout over Terrell Davis on the undercard of Amir Khan vs. Lamont Peterson.[8]

Hernández was named 2012 Prospect of the Year by Stiff Jab, a boxing and MMA website based in Washington, DC.[9][10]
