Biography
Dustin Satloff was born in 1993 in New York City and received his first patent at the age of 10.[1] The patent (6688973) is a system for using trading cards interactively.[2] This was the start of Satloff's entrepreneurial career, and at age 13, he founded a company that produces and sells bamboo baseball bats.[3] He has appeared in The New York Times, on National Public Radio, and other programs.[4][5][6][7] Satloff, part of the class of 2011 at the Collegiate School in Manhattan, actively ran his business, SatBats, while a student.[3] In December 2006 Dustin received a design patent[8] (D560,261) for a baseball bat made of two types of bamboo. Dustin is also a professional sports photographer, specializing in collegiate, NCAA events as well as PGA, MLB and other professional events. Satloff's images have appeared in numerous publications and the Associated Press.[9]
