Dushyanth Sridhar

Dushyanth Sridhar is an Indian writer and public speaker on ancient Indian religious texts. Born in 1986, as of 2014 he was one of the youngest in the field of Sanskrit and Tamizh texts. He appears regularly on regional Indian TV channels, and travels worldwide to deliver lectures.

Early life

Sridhar was born in Bangalore. He did his schooling there and in Chennai, after which he obtained his Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering and Masters in Chemistry from BITS, Pilani.[1] As of 2014 he worked with Tata Consultancy Services in Chennai.[2] He was a visiting faculty member at WE School,[2] a business school in Mumbai. He had previously worked with Kantar Group (TNS Health), Panacea Biotec, Avalon Global Research and the Speak well English Academy.

He was trained in Sanskrit and Tamizh hymns from a very young age by Srimati Indira RajagopAlan and Sri.Sambashivam. He then received Samashrayanam from Sri Narayana Yatendra Mahadeshikan (45th pontiff of Ahobila Mutt) and under the same Acharya, he performed Bhara Samarpanam for Divya Dampati. He is undergoing advanced training in four revered Sri Vaishnavite scriptures (grantha chattushtayam) viz. Sri Bhashyam, Gita Bhashyam, Bhagavad Vishayam and Srimad Rahasya Traya Saram texts at the lotus feet of revered preceptors (Acharyas):

He delivered over 1500 discourses worldwide in 4 languages namely English, Tamil, Hindi and Kannada.He has also recorded a commentary in Telugu for a dance ballet. He is a regular speaker on television including STAR Vijay, Jaya TV, Sri Sankara TV ,DD Podhigai TV,SVBC Channel[16] and Mega TV. His YouTube videos were viewed over 1 million times.[1][2]

He rendered the Sanskrit breathless file on Raghuveera Gadyam (Ramayana) which is a popular video on YouTube and this was rendered in over 10 ragams.
