Durbin is a youth development organization working for the development of Information and communications technology (ICT), education and health sector of Bangladesh. Durbin has started their journey with a vision to establish a knowledge-based economy in Bangladesh. Durbin’s main objective is to spread education, technology and medical support to all parts of Bangladesh.[1]

Education and Research

Durbin organize different workshop, seminar, training in different educational institutions of Bangladesh. In the program, Durbin make the students understand about the importance of education and also the importance of having a vision of a student. They motivate students to plan for a suitable career which steers them to the right and appropriate direction. These young people need proper guidance and Durbin helps them find the true and right path of life through academic and psychological counseling. For developing student’s career and skill Durbin introduced Free Online Resource Center for the first time in Bangladesh. Moreover Durbin also conducts online career counseling for the student of Bangladesh. Recently Durbin has launched first educational documentary the “The Way to Dawn”. Durbin demonstrated this documentary in different schools to enhance the knowledge about Earth planet, Space, Modern science, Math, and History.[2][3][4][5]

Information Technology and Communication (ICT)

ICT is a new hope of a better and enriched life. Durbin makes students know about the benefits of taking ICT as a career. Durbin conducts different ICT workshop and training program about Freelancing, Graphics designing, Programming, Internet marketing, advanced excel, Networking, Computer hardware, etc. A person can be self-directed through the benefits of learning ICT because he would not have to rely on anyone if he is self-sufficient in information and technology himself. Durbin sends these messages to the young minds and motivates them to get interested in this useful department. Durbin shows the wonder works of ICT through small documentaries explaining how the small yet useful inventions of ICT has led the world to become so easily communicable. They hold workshops where students get to experience the wonders of ICT with their own two hands and finally decide if this is an absolute marvel or not. This is how Durbin increases the eagerness and hunger of knowledge of students so that they get inspired and make up their mind to ICT.[6]

Medical Team

Durbin goes to areas that they have targeted from earlier assessment to help the poor people with medical aid. Durbin has an expert medical team consisting of students studying medicine from renowned medical colleges throughout the country. Durbin goes from place to place and renders free first aid service and primary level medical treatment to the people that require those. Durbin arranges workshops too involving the students, their parents and general people as well. In the workshops these people are made aware of diseases, general sickness, how to prevent and face them as well as techniques of a few first aids. They are also given ideas about good and safe health keeping, sanitation, nutritious food and general medicine that should be used to fight general illness. Durbin arranges training programs for the students and parents regarding First Aid so that they can play significant role of medical service in their daily life.[7]
