Dubbing dramaturge

Dubbing dramaturge is a profession in the movie industry.

The dubbing dramaturge participates in the preparation for international distribution of a given movie. When a movie is to be distributed in a country where the language differs from the movie's original language, the distributor of the movie can decide to dub or to subtitle the movie. The dubbing dramaturge adapts the movie to the national language by using the international dubbing script: he or she translates the dialogues, marks the places for voice over and overlapping, and writes ambiance chatter.
