Duarte Brás Carneiro Costa Taveiro Machado (born 21 February 1986), simply known as Duarte Machado is a Portuguese professional footballer playing for Olhanense in Segunda Liga as a center back.
Club career
Born in Barreiro, Machado spent his youth career at 3 different clubs the most notable of which is Sporting CP for which he played between 1998 and 2002. He started his professional career with Casa Pia in 2004 at Portuguese Second Division. Making 35 appearances for the club he joined Olivais e Moscavide of the same league. The following year the club was promoted to Segunda Liga. He had a stint with Fátima between 2007 and 2010, before joining Belenenses.[1] He was injured in a match against Rio Ave in August 2013 and was consequently ruled out of action for 4 weeks.[2]
