Drop B tuning
Dropped B tuning is a Heavy metal tuning for a 6 string guitar where the strings are tuned to BF#BEG#C#. This is a "drop 1" tuning in the key of C# (i.e. tune the whole guitar down a minor third from standard tuning, then tune the 6th string a whole step down). As a result, it uses the same fingering as drop D tuning and drop C tuning.

- Alcaeus on the album Weightworth
- Acid Drinkers
- All Shall Perish use this tuning on seven string guitars-the first six strings are tuned up a full set while the seventh string is left in standard tuning.
- Architects use this tuning on all of their albums aside from "Nightmares", which is in Drop C. However, on more recent albums, they have used a variation of this tuning in which they tune the lowest string to Ab.
