Dromod (Irish: Dromad) is a village in County Leitrim, Ireland. Dromod (the Ridge) is a noted fishing village on Loughs Bofin and Boderg, which are threaded by the River Shannon. Built along the River Shannon, this is a Tidy Towns winner with a lovely harbour area which is very popular with cruiser traffic. The Bog Oak water feature in the centre of the village is entitled 'The Weeping Tree' and was made by a local craftsman from a piece of bog oak which was found nearby.

Demographics

Between 2002 and 2006 the population of Dromod increased from 511 to 700 while 891 were listed on the census for 2011.
