Dreams Worth More Than Money is the upcoming second studio album by American hip hop recording artist Meek Mill. It is scheduled to be released through Maybach Music Group and Atlantic Records in 2015. Originally scheduled for release on September 9, 2014,[1] it suffered a delay because Mill's probation was revoked on July 11, 2014 and he was sentenced to three to six months in jail.[2]
The album features guest appearances from Jay-Z, Rita Ora, Rick Ross, Pamola Ford, Lil Snupe, Big Sean, Boosie Badazz, Migos, Chris Brown, Ty Dolla Sign and A$AP Ferg among others.
Background
Meek Mill has said that with this album, he is focusing more on rapping than on money. He said that rappers, especially in Philadelphia, have not received credit for helping their communities, going on to state in an XXL interview that, "If I’m in the position to help, I’m gonna help."[3] Mill says that he has come to realize there is more to the music industry than wealth, a philosophy that resulted in the album's title, Dreams Worth More Than Money.[3]
Promotion
The first single for the album, "Off the Corner", features Rick Ross and was released May 6, 2014. The second single, "I Don't Know" featuring Paloma Ford was released on May 19, 2014. Meek Mill has released many snippets for the upcoming album which are all on his Instagram. The snippets preview collaborations with French Montana, Big Sean, A$AP Ferg, Nipsey Hussle, Chris Brown, Ne-yo, Rita Ora and others.
A trailer for the album was also released.[4]
Starting on December 31, 2014, Meek Mill began teasing songs from the album via Instagram, none of which have official titles.[5][6][7][8][9][10][11][12] The fourth teaser confirms that Chris Brown will be featured on the album.
On January 29, 2015, Meek Mill released the music video for a song on the album titled "B Boy", which features Big Sean & A$AP Ferg.[13]
