Dragan Ćirić (Serbian Cyrillic: Драган Ћирић; born 15 September 1974) is a Serbian retired footballer who played as a midfielder.

Football career

Born in Belgrade, Ćirić represented FK Partizan (it would be his first and last club), FC Barcelona, AEK Athens F.C. and Real Valladolid during his career. He also played four times for the Yugoslavian national team.

With the Catalonia side, Ćirić was used regularly – though never an undisputed starter – as it won both La Liga and Copa del Rey in his first year, but was absolutely cast aside in the second season, then moving to Greece for a respectable year, which ended with the domestic cup's conquest. He retired at the age of 30.

Ćirić returned Partizan in January 2015, being appointed director of football. He resigned from this post only a month later, in February 2015, explaining that Serbian football was full of illogicalities and personal interests, and was not an environment he wanted to be part of.
