Dr. NIM
Dr. NIM was a game invented by John Thomas Godfrey[1]and manufactured by E.S.R., Inc. in the mid-1960s. It consisted of a plastic computer and a set of marbles. The machine would play a person at the game of Nim. The machine was powered by the action of the marbles falling through the machine.
Dr. Nim is actually a very early computer game. The "game board" is actually a very simple Digi-Comp digital computer with memory switches (the three-lobed levers) that 'remember' what was done & their starting position is the program that plays Nim. There is currently a SIG hosted by Yahoo Groups at Friends of DigiComp - Owners and fans of Digi-Comp Toy Computers
