Downtown Records is an American record label based in New York, New York. The label's music is distributed by Sony Music's RED Distribution and Cooperative Music.[1] Originally part of Downtown Music, Downtown Records was purchased outright by co-founders Josh Deutsch and Terence Lam in early 2013.[2]
In addition to the sister label Mercer Street Records, Downtown has label partnerships with Dim Mak Records, Fool's Gold Records and Mad Decent.[3]
Downtown Records also operates Downtown Events[4] – a festival and concert promotion company that produces The Downtown Music Festival.[5][6]
