Swathi Reddy was signed for one of the lead female roles, collaborating with Pellissery again after Amen, with the actress telling that her character was "definitely out of my comfort zone". Isha Sharvani informed that she was part of the film, and sources reported that Sunny Wayne, Asif Ali and Rachana Narayanankutty had also been signed.[10] Pearle Maaney was cast opposite Asif Ali, and she called her character in the film "a lot of fun". Pellissery also gave director Anil Radhakrishnan Menon a role in the film, who said that he would join the second schedule.
Filming began in late July 2014 in Kochi. According to Pearle Maaney, the second schedule began in Goa by late October.
