Dorin Rotariu (born 29 July 1995 in Timișoara) is a Romanian footballer who plays for Dinamo București as a winger.

Club career

Dinamo

He played his first game in Liga I at Dinamo București, where he was loaned from ACS Poli Timișoara in September 2012. Poli's coach, Valentin Velcea wanted to keep the player, but Rotariu decided to join Dinamo where he could play alongside many colleagues from the national under-19 squad.[1] His first game in Liga I was played in March 2013, against Concordia Chiajna. He was only 17 years and eight months old at that time.[2]

In the summer of 2013, his loan at Dinamo expired, and in the same time his contract with ACS Poli ended, so the player became a free agent. FC Vaslui made an offer to bring him, trying to convince the player via his uncle, Iosif Rotariu, assistant manager al the Moldavian squad, but Dorin Rotariu decided to sign a contract with Dinamo for six years.[3]

He scored his first goal for Dinamo in a match against Liga I rivals FC Vaslui, score 2–0. The goal came in the eve of his 18th birthday.[4] On 11 August, he scored again on in the "Eternal Derby" against Steaua.[5] On 23 August, he scored his third goal for Dinamo in a 6–0 victory against U Cluj.[6]

Personal life

Rotariu is the nephew of former Romanian international Iosif Rotariu.[7]
