Donna Evelyn Mary Faragher (née Taylor) (born 12 September 1975) is an Australian politician. She has been a Liberal member of the Western Australian Legislative Council since 2005, representing the region of East Metropolitan.
Faragher was born in Middle Swan, Western Australia in 1975. Before entering state politics, she was a staffer to federal senator Chris Ellison. Before the Coalition's election in 2008, Faragher was the shadow spokesperson for youth, drug abuse and disability services.[1][2]
Faragher was sworn in as Minister for Environment and Youth on 23 September 2008. At that time, she was the youngest ever female minister appointed in Western Australia.[2]
Faragher resigned as a Minister on 22 November 2010 shortly before the birth of her first child, Clare Evelyn Jean Faragher, on 26 November 2010. She remains an MP on the backbench.[3][4]
On 14 December 2010, she was appointed Parliamentary Secretary to the Premier.[5]
