Dolev (Hebrew: דולב, דֹּלֶב. lit. Plane tree) is an Israeli settlement organized as a communal settlement in the West Bank. Located 17 miles north-west of Jerusalem, it falls under the jurisdiction of Mateh Binyamin Regional Council. In 2011 it had a population of 1,306.[1]
The international community considers Israeli settlements in the West Bank illegal under international law, but the Israeli government disputes this.[2]
History
Dolev was established by five families during Sukkot in 1983. It was named after nearby Nahal Dolev where 'Dolev Mizrachi' trees grow.[3]
