"Do You Ever Wonder" is vocalist Alison Moyet's second single from 2002, being the second single of the album Hometime.[1]
Like Moyet's previous single, the single failed to enter the UK top 100, peaking at #113. Moyet's previous single "Should I Feel That It's Over" peaked at #144.
No promotional video was created for the single although Moyet performed the song on UK TV. She also performed the song on the Jools Holland show along with "Should I Feel That It's Over".
The song "Do You Ever Wonder" was written by British singer Carlton McCarthy, best known for his work with Massive Attack and Smith & Mighty.[2] McCarthy also co-wrote the "Hometime" track "Say It" with British musician Eg White.
The two b-sides for the single are "Yesterday's Flame (Insects Remix)" and "Bilan". "Yesterday's Flame" was the opening track on the same album "Hometime". "Bilan" is a French version of the "Hometime" single "More" where Moyet performs the song in French herself. "Bilan" was also included on certain editions of "Hometime".
The single and album was produced by Tim Norfolk and Bob Locke under the name "The Insects", known for their Emmy-award winning soundtrack work and collaborations with Goldfrapp, Massive Attack and Madonna.[3]
