Divyanka Tripathi is an Indian television actress, She plays Dr. Ishita in Ekta Kapoor's soap opera Ye Hai Mohabbatein that airs on Star Plus.[1][2]
Early life
Tripathi was the winner of the 2005 Miss Bhopal contest.[3] Her father is a pharmacist.[4] Tripathi completed a mountaineering course from the Nehru Institute of Mountaineering in Uttarkashi.[5] She holds a gold medal in Rifle shooting and is the executive officer of the Rifle Academy in Bhopal and is fan of Deepika.[5]
Career
Tripathi participated in Zee Cinestar Ki Khoj and was declared a winner from the Bhopal zone.[6] Her biggest break came when she played the lead role of Vidya/Divya in Banoo Main Teri Dulhann on Zee TV.[7][8] She not only was appreciated by the critics for her performance but also bagged notable awards.[9][10]
She has done an episodics in Ssshhhh...Phir Koi Hai as Radhika/Meera.[11] She also played protagonist in Mrs. & Mr. Sharma Allahabadwale as Rasmi Drishtdyumn Sharma and participated in various episodes of Comedy Circus.[12]
In 2013, Tripathi was approached by Ekta Kapoor to play the protagonist Dr. Ishita Iyer in her indian soap opera Ye Hai Mohabbatein.[2][13] on Star Plus. She went to win Boroplus Face of The Year,[14] Indian Telly Award for Best Actress in a Lead Role,[15] BIG Star Most Entertaining Television Actor - Female.[16] Her chemistry with Karan Patel won Indian Telly Award for Best Onscreen Couple[15] and Star Parivaar Award for Favorite (National and International) Jodi.[17]
