Diskono

Diskono is an independent record label and anonymous group of artists and agents, based somewhere highly classified in Scotland, Belgium, France, and the United States of America. Diskono, and its offshoot imprint Penthouse Hotplate, has nurtured divergent forms of electronica to all manner of post rock and indie; downtempo breaks to minimal techno; sparse piano compositions to abstract / explosive noise and angular punk pop. Perhaps best known for the discovery of artists such as Felix Kubin, Janek Schaefer and Phenomenological Boys, as well as being instrumental in the attack and de-construction of acid house in late 1980's, and rave in the 1990s. Currently, they are observing the re-emergence of Jan Van Den Dobbelsteen.
