Dioon mejiae is a species of cycad that is native to Honduras and Nicaragua. Common names include palma teosinte, teocinte, teocinta (female), teocintle, teocsinte, teosinte, tiusinte, and tusinte, all of which mean "sacred ear.[3][4]
