Dimitrios Kolovetsios (Greek: Δημήτρης Κολοβέτσιος; born 16 October 1991) is a Greek professional footballer who plays for Football League club AEK Athens, as Centre back.

Early career

Born and raised in Larissa, Kolovetsios began playing football with his boyhood football club Larissa,[1] where he played a total 41 games scoring 2 goals. In 2012, Kolovetsios transferred to Super league side PAS Giannina.[2] His impressing performances attracted the interest of many topflight Greek teams such as Olympiacos, PAOK and AEK Athens. In the end Kolovetsios signed with AEK Athens because Olympiakos F.C. and PAOK decided to sign other players. At PAS Giannina he made a total of 68 games scoring 2 goals.

AEK Athens

In the summer of 2014, Kolovetsios signed with AEK Athens for €250,000 euros.[3] Kolovetsios scored his first goal for AEK Athens against AO Chania which helped his team seal an away win.
