Dimitri Tikovoï
Dimitri Tikovoï is a multi-million selling and award nominated French record producer and DJ who has worked with bands such as Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Placebo, The Horrors, John Cale (The Velvet Underground), Hope Of The States, Goldfrapp, etc.
Before leaving France in 1998, he produced Peter Kingsbery's third solo album as well as Guesch Patti's album Blonde for which he wrote tracks, played different instruments (drums, percussions, electric guitar and bass) and was also responsible for programming. In 2002, Tikovoi released an album under the name "Trash Palace" (Positions, featuring Brian Molko, John Cale, Asia Argento and others).
Early in his U.K career he worked on some Placebo remixes and Placebo's cover of Kate Bush's "Running Up That Hill", and impressed the band so much that they asked him to produce their 5th album Meds, which went on to sell over a million copies worldwide. (The cover of "Running Up That Hill" can be found on some editions of Meds.)
He has since worked with Sophie Ellis-Bextor, The Horrors, The Dykeenies, Ed Harcourt, Girls Aloud Nicola Roberts' solo album, Cinderella's Eyes, Charli XCX and numerous U.K based acts.
In parallel Dimitri has been writing for movies such as the award-winning (Sundance 2008) movie by Samuel Benchetrit I Always Wanted to Be a Gangster and the Kevin McDonald movie State of Play.
In 2012 Dimitri was nominated for the MPG International Producer of the Year award. [1]
He is currently working with a number of exciting artists, both seasoned and up-and-coming, including; Bebe Black, Little Nikki, Aiden & Mikky Ekko, Amber Riley and Marianne Faithfull.
