Dilate (musical project)

Dilate was an ambient solo project begun in 1996 by keyboard player Victor Wulf.

History

Wulf began writing music in 1977.[1] After working with experimental industrial band Vampire Rodents,[2] he released his first album under the name Dilate, Cyclos, in early 1996.[3] The follow-up, Octagon, was released in mid-1997.[3] Both albums were released by Cleopatra Records.[3]

Style

Octagon has been described as "deep sonic environmental minimalism"[4] as well as good for meditation.[5] Wulf has been called the "gentler half" of Vampire Rodents.[1]
