Artist Douglas Coupland
Year 2009
Location Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada

Digital Orca is a 2009 sculpture by Douglas Coupland, located adjacent to the Vancouver Convention Centre in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.[1][2] The work, part of the Vancouver Convention Centre Art Project, is commonly referred to as Lego Orca or Pixel Whale.[2]

Reception

Despite the presence of a plaque asking visitors to refrain from climbing on the sculpture, people often step onto the whale's tail to pose for photographs. Tuija Seipell of Jaunted wrote that the sculpture is successful at drawing attention from visitors, much like Coupland's other works, and called it a "fun, gigantic toy!"[2]
