Digital Learning Commons

The Digital Learning Commons (DLC) is a Seattle, Washington-based non-profit founded to help bridge a widening gap between how the American K-12 school system educates students and what it takes to succeed in today's knowledge-based, tech-savvy economy. The DLC's vision is that every student in Washington, regardless of background or school location or size, has access to the resources and support needed to prepare for college and career success in 21st century society.

The DLC combines expertise in powerful teaching methodology and Washington's educational standards with an advanced understanding of digital tools, resources, and online courses to help school leadership and classroom teachers successfully incorporate technology into their curricula. The DLC enables teachers to engage students in high-quality online resources as a motivating strategy to stay engaged in learning, to individualize their approach based on student needs and styles, and to enhance and supplement basic lesson plans with unique content for more advanced or curious students.
