Diemonds is a female fronted Canadian hard rock band formed in 2006 in Toronto. The band is known throughout the musical underground for their constant touring of North America despite being an independent band on an indie record label. In 2009, Diemonds took their tour to India and became the fourth international act to ever have played in Shillong, India as well as the first female fronted act to ever play there.[1]

Sponsored by Jägermeister and Pabst Blue Ribbon Diemonds has performed at festivals/concerts including a headlining slot at Halifax Pop Explosion, SXSW and a main stage slot at Heavy MTL. In their hometown of Toronto, Diemonds has played numerous NXNE and Canadian Music Week slots over the years (including a prestigious support slot for Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash). Their music videos for "Highway" and "Take On The Night" are currently receiving rotation on MuchMusic and MuchLOUD.[2]

"In The Rough"

Diemonds independently released their debut EP "In the Rough" in October '08. It was named by Classic Rock (magazine) to be one of the best albums of 2009. In support of the album, Diemonds toured Canada & the United States heavily and played with bands like L.A. Guns, Faster Pussycat, John Corabi, Teenage Head (band), Rough Trade (band), and New York’s Semi-Precious Weapons. "In The Rough" was later re-released on limited edition cassette. NOW Magazine had a music feature for Diemonds in the NXNE Festival Guide - June 12, 2008.[3]

2010–present

In March 2010, Diemonds toured through Canada once again as direct support to Santa Cruz, California glam metal band Dirty Penny.[4]

Since 2011, Diemonds has been consistently touring through North America in support of their independent release "In The Rough" as well as the forthcoming full length "The Bad Pack". The relentless two years of touring has included multiple appearances at the highly regarded Rocklahoma festival in Pryor, OK as well as other notable appearances at Seattle Hempfest, Whisky a Go Go, Phoenix Concert Theatre, Heavy MTL, & Polson Pier. The band has also had the opportunity to play support slots to Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash, Steel Panther, Sebastian Bach, Megadeth, and many more.

On August 10, 2012 it was announced that Diemonds had signed with Toronto based independent punk rock record label, Underground Operations. The announcement also came with the news that the long awaited full length debut from Diemonds, "The Bad Pack", would be released via Underground Operations with distribution through Universal Music Canada on October 2, 2012. "The Bad Pack" was recorded with Jon Drew (Fucked Up, Tokyo Police Club).[5]

Underground Operations president and founder Mark Spicoluk commented on the signing of Diemonds saying "Authenticity. Most bands try to fake it and look stupid in the process but Diemonds are as authentic as it gets. I’m honored for UO to have the opportunity to play a pivotal role at this stage in Diemonds journey."

In anticipation of the release of "The Bad Pack", Diemonds released two singles/videos from the album: "Take On The Night" and "Livin' Tonight". The video for "Livin' Tonight" features Paul Spence portraying his popular character "Dean" from the FUBAR (film) series.

On Halloween 2012, the band released a music video for "Get The F&$ck Outta Here" featuring live performance footage as well as dialogue and acting from the band members.

Since the release of "The Bad Pack", Diemonds have continued to tour extensively in support of the album and receive positive reviews from all over the world. "The Bad Pack" was re-released in Japan by Japanese label Spiritual Beast in 2013 featuring exclusive artwork and bonus tracks.
