Diego Martín Dorta Montes (born December 31, 1971 in Montevideo) is a retired Uruguayan football midfielder who played 23 times for the Uruguay national team between 1990 and 1996.[1] He was part of the Uruguay team that won Copa América 1995.

Dorta started his professional playing career in 1988 with Central Español. In 1992 he joined Peñarol where he won three consecutive league titles with the club.

After Copa América 1995 Dorta joined Argentine Club Atlético Independiente but he never fully settled returning to Peñarol in 1998.
