Die Roten Punkte (German for "The Red Dots") is a pop-music comedy duo in the tradition of Spinal Tap and Flight of The Conchords.[1][2] Like The White Stripes, the band members [3] claim to be a brother and sister, named Otto Rot and Astrid Rot, and they banter and sing in German accents.[4][5] Die Roten Punkte have toured as Amanda Palmer's main support act on her USA East Coast Kickstarter Tour in 2012 and her Australian and European tours of 2013. In 2013 they were nominated for the TO&ST (Time Out Soho Theatre) Best Cabaret Award at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. In the past few years the have toured to Belgium, Ireland, UK, Canada, USA, Germany, Australia, New Zealand, Hungary, Poland and Italy.

The band has released four studio albums.
