Tarrant led Richmond to one of the biggest upsets in NCAA history, leading the 15th seed Spiders to an upset win over second-seeded Syracuse in the 1991 NCAA Tournament.
In 2013, Tarrant was inducted into the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame.[3]
