Diaphania contactalis is a moth in the Crambidae family. It was described by Dognin in 1903.[1] It is found in Colombia, Venezuela, Brazil, Peru, Ecuador and Bolivia. The habitat consists of cloud forests.
The length of the forewings is 11.9-13 mm for males and 12.1-13.3 mm for females. The forewings are light-brown and with a light purple gloss. There is a translucent, almost triangu1ar band on the hindwings.[2]
