Dhing Shah
Dhing Shah, a village in Kasur District 33 km from the city of Kasur, is named after a shrine to Baba Dhing Shah. Dhing Shah is crossroad from where Usman Wala Road begins. The village has a Government Boys High School and Girls Primary School.[1]
Two CSP officers hail from this village.Akber Khan Mayo is working as Assistant Commissioner in Federal Board of Revenue.Asghar Ali Mayo is a Section Officer in Ministry Of Defence.Both Akber and Asghar hail from village Dhing Shah.Their father Muhammad Ramzan Khan is also well-known personality of district Kasur.He has served as Chairman of Union Council. Dr. Muhammad Akram[2][3] s/o Ghulam Rasul is first of PhD Degree[4] holder in the subject of Botany of the village. He got his PhD from Punjab University,[5] Lahore, Pakistan. Currently he is working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Botany, PU, Lahore-Pakistan. The famous and renowned personality of the village is Master Ghulam Rasul, Ex, PTI teacher. Hafiz Muhammad Arshad Zahid[6] Hafiz Arshad is a famous Hockey player, running Jinnah Hockey Club[7] as a coach, Artist and excellent personality. He trained and produced many hockey players including Muhammad Arshad,[8][9] a former member of Pakistan National Hockey Team, comes from Dhing Shah. Muhammad Imran Junior, brother of Muhammad Arshad, currently plays for the Pakistan National Hockey team.[10] Muhammad Arshad Tabassum Agri. post Graduate also belongs to Dhing Shah. He did his MSc. Hons Entomology from UAF in 2012. He is the vice President of Young Entomologist's Society UAF and currently working as a Project Manager in Saudi Arabia. He remained a famous personality throughout his career. He was also a good player in Jinnah Hockey Club Dhing Shah. On 21 November 2010, a young woman, Nasreen Bibi, died through an honour-killing in Dhing Shah police precincts.[11] [12]
