Dhab Kalan (Persian: ڈہاب کلاں) (Punjabi: وَڈی ڈہاب) is a small village of Chak Umra Union council, Chakwal District in the Punjab Province of Pakistan.[4]

Dhab Kalan is a Persian language word in which Dhab (Persian: ڈہاب) means promontory (Urdu: بُلند مقام یا ٹیلہ) and Kalan (Persian: کلاں) means as large (Urdu: بڑا). In this way Dhab Kalan (Persian: ڈہاب کلاں) means as large promontory (Urdu: بلند اور بڑا مقام یا ٹیلہ) which actually shows the site of the village as it is situated on a natural and large elevation.

The village is one of the four villages called Har Char Dhab (Punjabi: ہر چار ڈہاب). It is located 8 km north direction from Chakwal city on Mandra road.[5]
