Devadas Kapikad is a Tulu drama and film actor, director, writer, producer, lyricist and singer. He has also acted in some Kannada films. He owns a drama troupe called Chaparka.He has wrtten and directed more than 45 dramas in Tulu language. His son Arjun Kapikad is also an actor.
