Nestling in the heart of Durgapur Hills of Chotanagpur Plateau, DeSouza's School actually was a private initiative by a committed couple an Academician Anne DeSouza and an Armyman Capt. John A. DeSouza. They formed a school that developed and delivered intellect with discipline, toughened for creative faculties.

Courses offered

The school offers kindergarten, primary, middle and secondary education. With Classes I to XII having Science and Commerce stream at the senior secondary level. The School prepares the students for ICSE examinations of ICSE and ISC.

The school has a Primary Resource Room, Science Laboratories, Computer Rooms with TV, LCD and OHP facilities, playgrounds and gardens and a library.

Campus

The school is situated on a 6 acre campus at the foot of the hills, of Sector-2 near Indira Gandhi Park, Gayatri Temple few distance from Sushilavati Government women's college. It is one of the cleanest and greenest campuses with its gardens, lawns and playgrounds. In keeping with its motto "Born For Greater Things", the School caters to the all round development of the child through its band of well qualified and experienced staff, extra curricular activities, good academic results and infrastructure. The goal of the school aims at equipping the students with the intellectual and practical skill's that are necessary to meet the inevitable challenges in the future.
