Derek Alexander Stirling (born 5 October 1961, Upper Hutt, Wellington) is a former New Zealand cricketer who played in 6 Tests and 6 ODIs from 1984 to 1986.[1]

Derek Stirling played 2 seasons 1981 - 1982 in Scottish Club Cricket for Stenhousemuir CC. He was an able coach, an excellent all rounder and a very pleasant person. He was a fine right handed batsman and a very good fast bowler, even on the slow Scottish wickets.

Most cricket statisticians will know the facts that Ian Botham struck 24 runs (464604) from one over from Derek Stirling at the Oval in 1986.
