Dennis J. Gilmore

Dennis J. Gilmore(born 1959) is a business leader in the finance industry.

Employment history

Gilmore currently serves as Chief Executive Officer and Director (2010) of First American Financial Corporation. He was the first President of the newly-formed First American Real Estate Solutions LLC. He is also Director of First American Title Insurance Company.

Prior to these roles, Gilmore was Chief Operating Officer of the First American Corporation, Vice President and Area Manager of First American, pioneer of the Lenders Advantage Program, Regional Vice President and National Director. As well, he was the President of First American Corp’s Property Information Group. His total compensation for 2013 was: $4,812,308.[1] He has been with First American Corporation since 1998.

In his current role at the firm, Gilmore provides the Board of Directors with the firm’s current challenges and opportunities. He also brings to the table his experience in the real estate settlement services industry.[2]

Before joining the ranks at First American Financial Corporation, Gilmore worked in other executive roles at other firms including Senior Vice President at TRTS Data Services Inc.

Board memberships

Gilmore is a member of the San Diego State University’s College of Business Administration’s advisory board and the Mortgage Bankers Association's Residential Board of Governors.[3] In the past, he served on the Orange County Performing Art Center board.[4]

Education

Gilmore has a Bachelor’s in Business Administration from San Diego State University and an MBA from Loyola Marymount University.[5]

Personal life

Dennis Gilmore was born in California. Today he lives in Coto de Caza, California, with his wife, Alison, and their three daughters.[6]
