Denmark is scheduled to compete at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from 5 to 21 August 2016.
Sailing
Denmark has qualified one boat for each of the following events upon receiving a place from the 2014 ISAF Sailing World Championships.[1]
- Men's sailboard – RS:X (Sebastian Fleischer)
- Men's one-person dinghy – Laser (Thorbjørn Schierup)
- Men's heavyweight one-person dinghy – Finn (Jonas Høgh-Christensen)
- Men's skiff – 49er (Jonas Warrer & Anders Thomsen)
- Women's one-person dinghy – Laser Radial (Anne-Marie Rindom)
- Women's skiff – 49erFX (Ida Marie Baad Nielsen & Marie Thusgaard Olsen)
- Mixed multihull – Nacra 17 (Allan Nørregaard & Line Just Emsvang)
Shooting
Danish shooters have achieved the following quotas based on their performance at the 2014 ISSF World Shooting Championships and the 2015 ISSF World Cup.[2]
- Men's skeet – 1 quota place (Jesper Hansen)
- Women's 10 m air rifle – 1 quota place (Stine Nielsen)
Swimming
Danish swimmers have so far achieved qualifying standards in the following events (up to a maximum of 2 swimmers in each event at the Olympic Qualifying Time (OQT), and potentially 1 at the Olympic Selection Time (OST)):[3][4] To qualify for the individual events, swimmers must achieve times set by the Danish Swimming Federation and the Danish NOC at either the 2015 World Aquatics Championships, the 2016 Danish Open or the 2016 European Aquatics Championships.[5]

- Women's 100 m backstroke – 1 quota place (Mie Nielsen)
- Women's 100 m breaststroke – 1 quota place (Rikke Møller Pedersen)
- Women's 200 m breaststroke – 1 quota place (Rikke Møller Pedersen)
- Women's 100 m butterfly – 1 quota place (Jeanette Ottesen)
