Denmark debut in 1951. Lilian Juul Madsen (1957) and Pia Rosenberg Larsen (1986) are the best candidates of Denmark who competed at Miss World and became the 1st Runner-up. Before creation of Miss World Denmark, the delegate selected from Miss Denmark 1st Runner-up to compete at Miss World.

Miss International Denmark

Denmark debut in 1960. Pia Rosenberg Larsen (1986) is the best candidate of Denmark who competed at Miss International and became the 1st Runner-up. Denmark did not compete in long time since 1996, it lost from the official license in Miss Denmark Organization and returned in 2010. Since 2010, the official candidate will select from Miss International Denmark committee in Copenhagen, traditionally, the winner will be selecting by pageant experiences. Before creation of Miss International Denmark, the delegate selected from Miss Denmark 2nd Runner-up or sometimes the 1st Runner-up will take over to compete at Miss International.
