Democratic Union (Slovakia)

The Democratic Union (Slovak: Demokratická únia) was a liberal party in Slovakia.[1] It was founded in 1994 as a merger of the Alliance of Democrats and the Democratic Union of Slovakia, that had split off from the ruling Movement for a Democratic Slovakia.[2] Its leader was Eduard Kukan. In 1998, it joined the Slovak Democratic Coalition[3] and in 2000, it merged into the Slovak Democratic and Christian Union.[2]
